From “We continue the change” they insist on more responsibilities for the mayors
We all need to roll up our sleeves
If the management is again in the hands of “We continue the change”, the allocation of funds in the country should continue to be based on the needs of the municipalities, and not on the basis of “which municipality, how close it is to a given government”. This commitment to sympathizers in Smolyan was undertaken by Asen Vasilev and the leader of the PP list in the region, Michal Kambarev. “To make real orders and give more funds to the municipalities themselves. Municipalities submit projects, indicate which ones are most important to them, and rank them in order of importance. After that, each municipality receives its funds directly from the central budget to be able to implement these projects. From then on, the responsibility goes to the mayors”, said the co-chairman of “We continue the change”.
Asen Vasilev stated that in Smolyansko, ordinary people and business representatives have repeatedly shared the same thing, namely that they no longer want this model in which “we sit poor, and some people just use our voice once during elections and then they get rich on our backs”.
“We are seeing an awakening,” Vassilev said. “And this, in my opinion, is very, very good for the region, because the truth is that until we all wake up and start working together, change cannot happen. Two, three, five, a hundred people will not make the change in Bulgaria. We all need to roll up our sleeves, stop being afraid, start working and fighting so that we can have a truly better life”, said Asen Vassilev.
