The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, called on Europe to part with its dependence on the USA, to unite with Russia and thus create “the most powerful and influential center on the planet”, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

During an open history lesson live on air for all schools and universities, he said that a unification of the technological West and the resource base of Russia is necessary. According to him, “not everyone in the EU is an idiot and everyone perfectly understands where happiness lies for the European Union and the whole of Europe – here in Eurasia”. According to the Belarusian leader, the Europeans are not taking steps to unify because the Americans “don’t let them”.

In front of his audience, Lukashenko predicted for the world “militarization, increase of nuclear threat, escalation of tension and very bad scenarios”. He outlined two dangerous global trends – the use of sanctions as a political and economic tool, as well as polarization and radicalization in societies.

The president of Belarus expressed support – personally and on behalf of his fellow citizens – for Russian military intervention in Ukraine, saying that “Russia cannot lose”. Lukashenko emphasized that the beginnings of fascism had appeared in Ukraine and went into interpretations of the concepts of nationalism (something normal) and Nazism (something bad), pointing out that “fascism is an extreme form of Nazism.”
