Is the Russian side backing down, geopolitical analyst Boyan Chukov commented to BNR.
“Most of the information about the war in Ukraine does not come from the expert community, and I’m not just talking about the Russian expert community,” he explained.
“There are many serious analysts in the West. I am talking about Americans, British, French. Anyone who closely follows what they say has long read that the American expert Larry Jones stated that the Russian retreat was planned before the Ukrainian attack. Alexander Mercuris, who is also a very famous analyst, announced a month ago that the Russians were withdrawing”.
There were also reports that 10-year-old children queuing for humanitarian aid told the queue that an attack by the Ukrainian army was expected.
According to the geopolitical analyst, there is no breakthrough of the Ukrainian army.
“All this is expected, because the Ukrainian breakthrough has reached the point where the Russians have previously retreated, that is, there are no great and serious battles,” he added.
Chukov explained that the Washington Post published an analysis in which a military analyst reported how heavy Russia’s losses were, something very serious, but other journalists from the same publication did a separate investigation and in fact Russian losses turned out to be much less.
“The great fiasco was suffered by the Ukrainian troops, not the Russians,” thinks Chukov.
